Baldasserona - Pino Serra

The Crossodromo "Pino Serra" on the Baldasserona site opened in 1968 and was built by volunteer labour; according to the Italian Wikipedia the racer Renzo Pasolini advised the builders on the layout, and a Fiat 500 turned the first test lap. From 1973 the venue hosted a round of the 125cc motocross world championship, the "6th Trofeo FIM". The Federazione Sammarinese Motociclistica lists the track as homologated by FSM and UISP, names a workshop, camper parking with electricity, toilets, hot showers, a bar and meeting rooms as facilities, and refers you to a phone number for opening times. The Motocross Romagna portal names G&P Promotion as the operator, gives riding times as Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 7 pm, and states that FMI and UISP licences are accepted; it adds a paved and lit paddock, a bike wash and minimoto and pit bike loops with bikes available to rent on site. Motocross Romagna describes the ground as demanding in both directions: it turns greasy in the rain and loses traction when dry. Our record has about 1,700 metres with a fast, jump-heavy and technical character. Ground like that cuts deep ruts, and when the front knifes in and oversteers, top of our cause list is a fork set too soft that rides too low and folds into the rut.
