How LAISA derives setups
Methodology, provenance and trust
LAISA turns “this bike, these conditions, my riding” into concrete, provenance-tagged suspension starting points. Each value is either computed from the OEM default plus weight/skill/style/condition modifiers, or lifted from a verified reference setup - always a starting point, never a safety guarantee.
The provenance ladder
Every value LAISA serves carries a provenance tag - the machine-readable trust signal:
- oem - manufacturer default.
- expert - verified by a named tuner/shop.
- ai - machine-extracted, not yet reviewed.
- community - median of public rider setups (n>=3).
The setup engine
Per supported adjuster there is a clear value priority: (1) a verified/reviewed reference setup; otherwise (2) a value computed from the OEM default plus weight, skill, style and condition modifiers. If an adjuster has no OEM default and no reference, the value stays empty - the field exists but is honestly blank. LAISA never fabricates values.
Capability - which adjusters a bike even has - comes from the fitted-component model, not assumptions. A missing adjuster does not appear at all; a present one without a value appears empty. (The “two meanings of empty”.)
Data + citing
The setup data is a provenance-tagged, structured corpus across motocross, enduro and superbike/track. The canonical answer pages are public, server-rendered HTML - directly quotable, no key. How to cite is in the llms.txt.
