Gonars - Chiapponat

The Chiapponat motocross track sits on the Statale 252 near Gonars in the province of Udine. The FMI regional committee for Friuli Venezia Giulia names MC Edi as the operator and lists the venue as an FMI homologated category 3 circuit. The same source gives the concrete build figures: 13 jumps and a starting gate with 30 places. There is a minicross loop and a bar; parking is on a grass field. That source documents no opening hours and no fees, and lists a mobile number for the operator as the contact. Our own record gives the track a fast, technical character with jumps. Thirteen jumps in a lap mean one thing above all: thirteen landings. If the shock does not absorb that energy it bottoms hard on touchdown, and the hit goes unfiltered into your back and wrists - after a few laps you stop riding the jumps and start riding your own fatigue. Top of our cause list here is rear high-speed compression set too soft - add some so the rear catches the landing instead of passing it on to you.
