Track details
Dry loam is the ideal case: grippy, forms lines and forgives mistakes.
After rain loam turns heavy and sticky - knobs pack up and the bike feels noticeably heavier.

The Crossodromo Tre Ponti lies on Via Sant'Alberto 257 north of Ravenna and, according to the regional site Motocross Romagna, is run by MC Ravenna Asd. It is a third-category track with an automatic American-style starting gate homologated for 30 riders, and an irrigation system that runs during practice. It opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 7 pm, and from 1 to 5 pm in winter. A day pass costs between 12 and 17 euros depending on membership, and between 7 and 12 euros for minors; the separate minicross piste, which only admits rear wheels up to 12 inches, ranges from free to 10 euros. The mxcenter.it directory additionally lists a bar, a cold shower and 220-volt sockets. Because the ground in the Po plain is flat, the character here was built rather than found: artificial jumps and heaped-up panettoni set the rhythm. On built faces it is the take-off that decides whether you fly cleanly or get levered out of shape. Top of our cause list is rebound that is too fast at the rear, throwing the back end up off the face - slow it down so the bike leaves the ground calmly.
