Throttle control on corner exit (MX)

Corner speed is nice, but races are won on the drive out - and that comes from a smooth, progressive throttle. From the apex, roll the throttle on in one continuous motion rather than snapping it open; the smoother you are, the more the rear hooks up and the harder you can drive. Keep your weight forward and your elbow up so the front stays down and tracking as the power comes in. If the rear spins or steps out, don't chop it - ease the throttle slightly and keep it driving. Be patient: wait until the bike is pointed where you want to go before you really open it. Wheelspin is wasted time; traction is forward drive.
