About 900 metres long and roughly seven metres wide - the course at Niwka near Czaplinek is small, and that is the single most important thing for your planning. The ground alternates between hard and soft sections, with several jumps and a lot of turns in between. The land is private and open on practically any day of the week; at weekends most riders turn up after midday. You find it by a motocross sign on the road between Czaplinek and Barwice. The map records the site at 143 metres. Seven metres wide means one line and no room beside it. With several riders out at once, overtaking becomes something you solve in your head before you ride it - look for a gap in the traffic, not a gap in the corner. On the hard sections this comes first: the front feels vague and short of grip. Top of our list is too much front pressure - letting a little out grows the contact patch noticeably.
