MSC Barbarossa e.V. runs its facility on Seegaer Weg in Rottleben in the Kyffhaeuserland, below the Kyffhaeuser monument the club takes its name from. According to mx-info.de the club was founded in 1990 and now has more than 150 members. The site holds a 1,600 metre motocross track and a 3,000 metre enduro track on firm, hard-packed ground, with steep turns and short sharp climbs; motocross bikes, enduros and quads are permitted. The season runs from April to October and riding happens at weekends, Saturdays from 10:00 to 19:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00, each with a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00. Guests pay 10 euros per day and vehicle, members ride within the annual fee of 120 euros. On site there is a restaurant, sanitary facilities and power and water connections. Our records place the track at around 208 metres of altitude. Firm, hard ground gives way very little and therefore returns little feedback at the front - the front wheel feels vague long before it actually pushes. When you are missing front grip, top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure: take some out for a bigger contact patch.
