Motocross des Adrets-de-l'Esterel

The ground at Les Adrets-de-l'Esterel is run by the Moto Club Intercommunal du Lac de Saint-Cassien; both the French federation's FFM circuit directory and mxcircuit.fr name Antony Leroy as president and contact. Several courses sit side by side on the site: the motocross track at 1360 metres long and ten metres wide, a supercross course of 490 metres, a pit bike track of 395 metres and a children's track. The ground is man-made and clayey, and it is watered permanently. It opens every Sunday of the month; the site stays shut through the summer and in bad weather. A day costs 10 euros for the MX and SX tracks and 5 euros for the pit bike track, ridden in ten sessions per day on MX and SX and five on the pit bike track. An FFM licence is mandatory. Motorcycles, quads, dirt bikes and pit bikes are permitted. Permanently watered clay stays mouldable: it takes on the line somebody rode before you, and across ten sessions a day that turns into deep, worn ruts. When the front knifes in and oversteers you out of the rut, top of our cause list is a fork set too soft that rides too deep - add compression so it sits higher in the stroke.
