The track on the Chemin du Cimetiere in Bruguieres, north of Toulouse, belongs to Moto-Club de Bruguieres, headed by president Fernand Martins. The track directory mxcircuit.fr gives 1700 metres of length at 6 metres wide and a natural layout on clay-loam soil. Riding runs on two Saturdays a month, 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00, weather permitting. The morning is reserved: that slot is the club's coaching programme with skill courses, slalom and CASM preparation run by instructors. A day costs 10 euros and an FFM licence is required. A wash bay is available, and alongside the MX course there is a kids track. A narrow course on clay soil produces a tight layout where the lines rut up quickly and corners are placed rather than swept. Miss the turn-in here and you lose more on the exit than the following straight gives back. For a bike that will not hold a tight line, our cause list points at too little rear ride height: the steering goes lazy and pushes over the front wheel. Raise the rear, or drop the front, to sharpen the turn-in again.
