Centre National de Motocross Bockholtz-Goesdorf

The Centre National de Motocross Bockholtz/Goesdorf in northern Luxembourg is run by Motor Union Luxembourg (MUL) and sits on the CR321 at Bockholtz in the commune of Goesdorf. The commune describes the approach via Goesdorf, rue op der Driicht, continuing roughly one kilometre past the municipal workshop. MUL lists training on Thursdays from 13:00 to 19:00 and Saturdays from 11:00 to 17:00; Tuesdays are available to official clubs and trained coaches by arrangement. The commune dates the opening to 1988, the national motocross centre status to 1996 and the 500cc Grand Prix to 1997, won by Kurt Nicoll on a KTM. The track length is not publicly documented. The commune describes the venue as a natural-terrain circuit that asks a lot of both rider and machine; our record holds a hard surface with technical sections, off-camber stretches and jumps. On firm ground it is mostly the front contact patch that decides whether you still have bite in the flat corners. If the front feels vague there, top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure - take a little out so the tyre puts more rubber on the ground.
