MBC De Zeven Heuvelen Groesbeek

MBC de Zeven Heuvelen is a motorcycle and moped club founded on 15 February 1971 by Jan Weijers, Piet Albers, Wiel Zwitserloot and Selly van Peer. Its circuit Dn Hoek lies on the Stekkenberg in Groesbeek, in Sportpark Noord next to the football club Germania, and is 1,430 metres long. There is a separate youth track for riders up to 85cc; on top of that, the main track is reserved for youth during the first quarter of every training day. Training runs on Saturdays year-round from 14.15 to 18.00, and on Wednesdays from 14.15 to 18.00 in the winter half-year and 15.15 to 19.00 in the summer half-year, each subject to the weather. From 2026 non-members may train on those two days as well; the requirement is a MON licence, for which newcomers must first obtain an MX certificate. Membership in 2026 costs 80 euro a year plus a 100 euro deposit for youth up to 14, and 115 euro plus a 200 euro deposit from 15 upwards; the deposit is worked off across four turns of flag duty and club work. On firm, dry ground the contact patch decides whether the front bites at all: if the front wheel feels vague and finds no grip, top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure. Lower it so the tyre puts more rubber on the ground.
