MX Lierneux

MX Lierneux lies in the municipality of Lierneux in the province of Liege, in the middle of the Ardennes; the circuit is run by Andre Mathieu. The class 1 operating licence was granted on 25 September 2023; the operator names a round of the AMPL championship on 25 and 26 April 2026 as the first official competition, with a stated ambition of a world championship round in 2027. The operator describes the ground as varied, with steep climbs, tight corners and jumps of differing difficulty; it sits close to the E25 and the N89, the nearest houses are around 900 metres away and the village of Lierneux three kilometres. Track hire and courses for children are offered. According to MotocrossMag the circuit opens three days a week, the operator announces the days himself, 25 riders are admitted per day, and booking in advance by phone is mandatory; one companion per rider is allowed. Track length and fees are not publicly documented; our own record lists hardpack ground. On hard ground with fast sections and off-camber corners, almost everything depends on how much feedback you get from the front wheel. If the front feels vague and finds no grip, top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure - lower it, and a bigger contact patch puts the front wheel back in touch with the ground.
