Cadwell Park

Cadwell Park lies near Louth in Lincolnshire and has belonged to MotorSport Vision since January 2004. According to Wikipedia the circuit was laid out in 1934 by Mansfield Wilkinson of Louth and tarmacked from 1938. Several variants exist: the full circuit at 3.502 kilometres with 18 turns, the motorcycle version used since 2004 at 3.508 kilometres with 19 turns, the Club Circuit at 2.375 kilometres with ten turns and the Woodlands Circuit at 1.365 kilometres with nine turns. The best known section is The Mountain, where bikes can become airborne by up to several feet because of the sharp change in level across a steep-sided valley. The sequence of corners and the gradients have earned the track the nickname Mini-Nurburgring. The British Superbike Championship holds its main round here on an August weekend, from 1995 to 2019 and again from 2021. The operator runs its own trackdays for motorcycles; the landing page does not quote prices, and the booking line is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Our record holds asphalt and a character of jumps and tight sections; the 3502 metres match the full circuit. Anyone who gets air at the Mountain feels immediately what the suspension does on the face: if the rear comes back too quickly it throws you into the air crooked instead of letting you land flat. Top of our cause list is: rebound returns too fast and launches the rear off the face - slow it (fewer clicks out). Take that as a starting point, not a licence.
