Donington Park

Donington Park sits next to Castle Donington in Leicestershire and is run by MotorSport Vision, which has held the circuit business since 2017. The operator lists two layouts: the Grand Prix circuit at 2.487 miles and the National circuit at 1.979 miles. Alongside race weekends it sells its own car and bike track days, including evening sessions, plus testing dates. Wikipedia's account of the venue dates it to 1931 and counts twelve turns on the GP layout, among them Redgate, the downhill Craner Curves, the Old Hairpin and the Melbourne Loop. The motorcycle record is dense: the British motorcycle Grand Prix ran here from 1987 to 2009, the circuit has hosted World Superbike rounds for decades, and British Superbike is on the operator's current calendar. The lap is defined by the fast, downhill Craner Curves and the tight Melbourne Loop - the bike stays leaned over for a long time at speed, and the load changes between the bends go through the suspension rather than the brake.
