The motocross course on Route 8 south of South Edmeston is only one part of what is here: a main track of just over a mile, a shorter quad and peewee track, around eleven miles of hare scramble trails with sprint enduro loops of two, four and five miles, plus a dedicated endurocross course of about a mile. Both practice and racing are allowed, motocross and supercross alike. Surface and elevation are not reliably documented anywhere for this venue. Do not plan a pure motocross day here. The appeal is in the mix, and skipping the endurocross course and the trails means missing the larger part of the site. The reverse also holds: ride the technical ground first, while you are fresh - it punishes fatigue harder than a motocross lap does. The classic problem in tight technical sections: the engine stalls. Top of our cause list is a dragging clutch or a flywheel that is too light - a flywheel weight or a clean clutch setup takes the low-rpm stalling away.
