A mile and a half of track on barely 28 acres of rolling land on Silver Creek Road near Montrose in north-eastern Pennsylvania - what stands out about Moores is how much course was squeezed out of so little ground. Table tops, step-downs, a whoops section and uphill doubles are documented, plus a separate peewee track; the surface is mostly loose with few rocks, and it was groomed and watered daily. The listed hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 to 20:00 with a rider fee of 30 dollars, 20 on Wednesdays. Check before you travel whether riding is happening. On rolling ground with uphill doubles it is the exit of the corner before that decides whether the jump works. Take the climb one gear taller than it feels like and stay seated as long as you can. That is exactly where the most common mistake happens: the rear spins up and loses traction on the climb. First on our cause list is too much rear tyre pressure - drop it, entirely safe with a mousse, and the contact patch grows.
