On Cereal Street in Lake Elsinore lies one of southern California's largest motocross sites: around 300 acres at roughly 1,260 feet, holding seven courses served by three starting gates - main, vet and race tracks, a peewee area for 60s and 80s, and a quad track. The ground counts as mostly loose with firmer sections, the layout brings many berms plus small and large jumps, with eucalyptus and scrub oak between them and a large open pavilion. The place has race history: rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship ran here in 2012 and 2013 before the date moved to another venue. With seven courses on one site, here is an unpopular recommendation: ride only two of them in a day. The race track asks for different eyes than the vet track, and taking in all three starting gates means you mostly practise re-adjusting. What happens most often in tight technical sections: the engine stalls. Top of our cause list is a dragging clutch or a light flywheel - a flywheel weight or a properly set-up clutch package removes the low-rpm stalling.
