Sportovní areál AMK Zbrojovky Brno

The site above Vranov u Brna, known as Vranovsky zleb, belongs to AMK Zbrojovka Brno. Construction started in 1966 and the first race was held the same year. The lap is 1,820 metres long, 6 to 8 metres wide and covers 30 to 40 metres of elevation change; the sources describe largely natural, hard clay-sand terrain. Practice runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 to 19:00 for 200 crowns with no displacement limit, and on Wednesdays at the same times for 100 crowns for youngsters up to 85cc. Facilities include toilets, showers, a workshop, hot and cold water, parking and a spectator tower. National motocross championship rounds have been held here as well as bikross and sidecar races; the operator also lists a round of the international Czech motocross championship, a motocross school for children and training days for police and fire brigades. The ravine gives you climbs that you take under power: on the hill it is less about output than about whether the rear tyre can put that power into the hard ground at all. If it spins up and traction disappears on the climb, top of our cause list is too much rear tyre pressure. Lower it, the contact patch grows and the tyre keeps its grip longer before it breaks away.
