The crossodromo named after Ronco Biellese actually sits in the municipality of Vigliano Biellese at Via Valgrande 2 and is run by Moto Club Ronco Park. The local outlet Newsbiella reports that the venue was built in 1966 by a group of friends around the Salvetti brothers and is today managed by Giancarlo Billotto - a regional champion in the 1970s and one of Italy's ten best senior-category riders, who stopped racing in 1985. Riding takes place on Wednesday and Saturday from 2 pm to 6:30 pm and on Sunday and public holidays from 10 am to noon and from 2 pm to 6:30 pm. Nothing happens without a licence: there is one for competition and one for non-competition use, and children get their first from the age of seven. According to Newsbiella the site has a large shaded car park, an irrigation system against dust, electricity, drinking water, showers and a start gate for 26 riders; mxcenter.it lists the track at 1,500 metres, hard ground, category 4, ASI homologation and a minicross area. Ground that has been ridden and packed hard for decades produces one thing above all: braking bumps on corner entry that travel straight up through the fork into your forearms.
