Brandizzo

The track in the Sturella district of Brandizzo, east of Turin, is run by the Free Cross motoclub according to the directory tracks.mxcenter.it. The directory lists it at 1200 metres with medium-hard ground, in category 3, homologated through the ASI body. It opens on Thursdays from 15:00 to 19:00, in summer until 21:00, on Saturdays from 13:00 to 19:00 and on Sundays from 10:00 to 19:00. Unlike most venues in the region Brandizzo has floodlighting, and night sessions are possible by arrangement with the operator. No bar and no showers are listed. The directory describes the approach via Turin's northern ring road, Falchera exit, on towards Chivasso, then from Brandizzo following the signs to the municipal lake and the track. Medium-hard ground on a short lap produces one thing above all: braking bumps before the corners that keep getting deeper because everybody anchors in the same place. That is where the fork goes harsh and deflects back at you instead of swallowing the small chop. Top of our cause list for that is low-speed compression set too firm. Open it a few clicks so the fork starts working again over the small hits.
