The Gattinara motocross track is in the province of Vercelli in Piedmont. The track directory Tracks by MXCenter names La Torre Motoclub as the operator and lists the venue as a category 3 circuit homologated by the FMI, ASI and UISP, 1600 metres long, with the ground described as medium-hard. According to that entry it is open on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00, and on other days by request with advance notice. There is a minicross loop, a bar, hot and cold showers and 220 volt sockets; there is no floodlighting. The same entry states that the operators also run MX riding courses. The source gives no prices and notes that the times can change at short notice. Medium-hard to hard ground takes the feedback out of the front end: it feels vague, finds little edge in flat corners and pushes wide before you even register that the grip has gone. Top of our cause list here is too much front tyre pressure - lower it so the contact patch grows and the front wheel bites again on hard ground. Our own record carries a technical track character.
Track condition today
