Dirt Country Raceway

Dirt Country on State Route 133 near Blanchester is a family-run operation and deliberately compact: about 50 acres, one man-made motocross track of a mile and more, no trails, hardly any marked hazards. Rhythm sections, large doubles and fast sweepers are documented, plus a dedicated pit bike track. Motorcycles only are allowed on track; quads and side-by-sides are excluded. The site has a level grass parking area, spectator bleachers and restrooms. The practice rider fee is 20 dollars and a race class 25. Practice typically runs in the week before a race date, so on selected weekends - call before you travel. A short track with fast sweepers tempts you into grinding out the same lap. Give each session a theme instead: one for corner exits only, one for the run-in to the doubles. Over a mile and a half you rack up repetitions fast enough for real change. The problem that finds you in the fast sweepers: the bike goes vague and restless. Top of our cause list is ride-height and sag balance - set the sag properly before you touch a single clicker.
