Crossodromo al Boschetto

The Crossodromo al Boschetto sits at Gorgo al Monticano in the province of Treviso and, according to the Mxcenter track directory, is run by the The Riders Factory motoclub. The listing gives the layout as 1,500 metres, category 5, homologated by FMI and CSEN, with the surface described simply as earth. Riding happens on fixed days: in summer Thursday from 6 to 10 pm and Saturday from 3 to 7 pm, in winter Thursday and Saturday from 1.30 to 5 pm. Floodlights are installed, which is what makes the late summer slots possible at all. On site there is a bar, but no showers, no 220-volt outlets and no separate minicross loop. The directory states plainly that the times can change and that you should get in touch before you drive out. Fees are not publicly documented. Over a lap that short there is little room for long straights - our record lists a technical character, and the profile reads that way: a lot of direction changes where you have to put the bike on a tight line and keep it there. If the bike will not turn in and runs wide of the line you picked, top of our cause list is too little rear ride height: a rear sitting too low makes the steering lazy, so raise the rear (or drop the front) to sharpen turn-in.
