Five hundred metres separate Circuito MX Pusa from the edge of Santa Ana de Pusa: the track sits on the CM-401 at kilometre 78, wedged between the Pusa river and the village, 130 km from Madrid and 80 from Toledo. After its rebuild the layout measures around 1400 metres and runs over jumps, corners, whoops and banked turns; the ground is a sandy-loam jabre of decomposed rock - highly permeable and with good traction. Four hectares are given over to pits and parking. In March the venue hosted a round of the Spanish classic-bike championship alongside the Castilla-La Mancha motocross championship, with around 90 riders entered. Do not ride this place as a jump park. The time is in the banked turns and the whoop sections between the tabletops - the jumps take care of themselves once the run-in is right. Which is exactly where the problem that catches nearly everyone shows up: the bike kicks and bucks instead of leaving the face cleanly. Top of our cause list is rebound that returns too fast at the rear - slow it down, fewer clicks out, and the face stops launching you.
