Track details
Changing surface: grip shifts from section to section - read the lines and stay flexible.
After rain the sections react differently - muddy dips, slippery hard patches.
Stupava is natural terrain, and the ground changes within a single lap: the upper part of the track is sandy, the lower part sits on a clay base. Add jumps into the slope and out of it, long and short leaps, whoop sections and toboggans. The track holds a licence from the Slovak motorcycle federation. Roman Borák from Stupava runs it and organises the training; no fixed opening hours are published. That change of ground within the lap is the real lesson here. Your setup can only be optimal for one of the two halves - so decide where you want to gain time and accept a compromise in the other section. Try to have both perfect at once and you will spend half the day at the suspension clickers. For the sandy upper part, what almost always applies in sand applies here: the rear pogos and swims. Top of our cause list is rear rebound set too fast for sand - fewer clicks out and the building-up stops.
