On the edge of Talavera de la Reina, on the CM-4102 towards Los Navalmorales, lies Cerro Negro - officially the motocross course carries the name Carlos Martínez Zorita. The venue is municipally owned and has genuine international standing: in May 2022 it hosted the European Championship for the 65cc and 85cc classes. One point belongs in any planning: the Spanish Motocross Championship round scheduled for 18 and 19 April 2026 was refused permission by the town. A technical report found the condition of the evacuation tunnel to be a risk to riders, spectators and volunteers; the town speaks explicitly of repair and postponement, not of closure. The course remains usable, but not for major events until the work is done. Call ahead. A fast course forgives little when the basic geometry is off: in the long sweepers the bike goes vague and stops running clean.
