Circuit de Romagne

The Circuit de Romagne in Brittany is run by Moto-club Romagne, which according to its own club page was founded in 1981 by Emile Dufour and friends and today counts just under 100 licensed members. The club writes that Joel Smets, Marvin Musquin and Mickael Pichon have all ridden at the Vallees de Thouru site, and that Mathys Boisrame currently represents the club at world championship level. On 5 and 6 July 2025 the club hosted the round of the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship, with 38 nations represented by its own count. For MX training the club charges 5 euros for the educatif group on Saturday morning and 15 euros for riders in the afternoon. A current-year FFM licence or a pass circuit is mandatory, and machines that do not meet the FFM rules on equipment and noise are turned away. The club does not publish a fixed training calendar; dates are announced individually. The club calls the ground vallonne, meaning rolling terrain with climbs, and our own record lists a loamy surface with a technical character. Get on the throttle uphill and the rear loses drive quickly because the tyre cannot find enough contact. Top of our cause list for that is too much rear tyre pressure: let some out to grow the contact patch, which is safe to do on a mousse. And because the training days are not fixed in the calendar, confirm the date before you set off.
