AVMX Cold Creek Moto Park at 3100 Milligan Road in Port Alberni is run by a club that describes itself as a mix of motocross riders and racers of all ages and skill levels. The site holds a main motocross track and a small wheel track for kids. Access runs through day passes or an annual membership: a single day pass costs 35 CAD, a family pays 35 CAD per riding family member, and the TYKE day pass as well as the Thursday night TYKE pass cost 10 CAD. The annual membership includes a key to the track that members can use any time, plus free camping. The club works with Mosaic Forest Management and co-ordinates with three other Vancouver Island tracks to organise the spring and fall race series. RidersWest magazine writes that three to four rounds of the Vancouver Island championship run here and that day passes and memberships are available to anyone who wants to ride. Our record lists a firm surface with technical sections, jumps and off-camber ground. Exactly on that kind of flat, tilted corner the front tends to wash out; top of our cause list is a fork that is too firm and rides too high to build front bite - take a few clicks of compression out.
