The club Motor Sport Vereniging MSV Motordrenthe runs Circuit De Weidestukken on the Stukkenweg in Westerbork. The club has existed since 1979, states around 100 licensed riders and has by now staged 198 championship rounds; it is run by volunteers, for whom the club is continuously recruiting. Training times are published by the club: from 1 April to 1 October, Wednesday runs 16.00 to 17.30 for the group up to 12 years, then 17.30 to 20.00 for everyone. In the winter half-year Wednesday is 13.15 to 17.00 for everyone. On Saturdays, year-round, riders up to 12 years go out from 13.00 to 14.30, everyone else from 14.30 to 17.00. Sand works over the day: it softens, throws up ruts, and the rear loses its composure as soon as it comes back up too early after a hit. Top of our cause list for that is rebound that is too fast for sand: slow it down so the rear wheel stays in the ground instead of pogoing.
