The track lies in the Domaine de Lagunan off the D3 near Hourtin in the Medoc and is run by Hourtin Moto-Club (USCH). According to mxcircuit.fr the course is 1700 metres long and made of sand and dark soil; the directory describes it as flat and rolling, with tabletops of 5 to 15 metres and banked corners, and notes that it rides well dry or wet. Riding is on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, other days by arrangement; members have permanent access as long as at least two people are on site. Half a day costs 6 euros, a full day 10 euros, and annual membership runs from 40 to 60 euros plus a 25 euro multi-sport fee. An FFM licence is required, and bikes and quads are allowed. Sand plus banked corners means you can open the throttle early and hard, but that is exactly when all the weight shifts rearward and the rear digs into the exit instead of driving forward. Top of our cause list for that is a rear that squats, so the bike runs wide on corner exit. The strongest cause is rear low-speed compression set too soft, letting the rear sink under power - add a little so the bike keeps its ride height through the exit.
