The motocross track at Aignes, south of Toulouse in Haute-Garonne, belongs to Moto-Club Aignes-Mauvaisin; the directory mxcircuit.fr lists Gerard Roques as president. The site sits about 800 metres outside the village and the track measures 1420 metres at six to eight metres wide. Riding is cyclical: the third Sunday of every month from 2 pm to 6 pm, ten euros for the day, and you do not get on the track without an FFM or UFOLEP licence. The venue has toilets, a shower, running water and power, plus a permanently installed sprinkler system for the surface. The club also runs a riding school from age six with two instructors, and a separate children's loop for it. The directory describes the ground as a mix of loose and hard-packed earth; our own record files the layout as technical, meaning plenty of direction changes and little room to let the bike run. That is exactly where turn-in decides your lap. Top of our cause list here is too little rear ride height, because a low-sitting rear makes the steering lazy: raise the rear or drop the front and the tight line comes back.
