The Circuit de Batiplames sits by the D14 near Cazouls-les-Beziers in the Herault and belongs to MC Cazoulin, whose president according to the track directory mxcircuit.fr is Stephane Rey. The directory gives the course as 1600 metres, a natural layout on hard-packed earth. It opens on the first and third weekend of each month; it stays shut in July and August and for a month before each race. A day costs 10 euros and an FFM licence is required. Besides motorcycles, quads and pit bikes are allowed. Fixed hours within those weekends are not publicly documented, and contact runs through the club's phone and email. Hard earth means very little for the tyre to key into: the ground does not yield, the tyre has to do the work through its contact patch, and through the fast, technical sweeps the front sends back correspondingly little. For exactly that vague front-end feel on hardpack, top of our cause list is too much front tyre pressure - take some out so the tyre builds a bigger contact patch.
