1400 metres of sand, 14 corners, 12 jumps - MCC Ahrenshöft e.V. publishes its numbers, and you can read from them what you are in for before you even set off. The club was founded in 1978, belongs to the ADAC and rides at Borgerweg in 25853 Ahrenshöft. Practice runs Wednesday 16:00 to 20:00, but only between Easter and the autumn holidays, plus Saturday and Sunday 14:00 to 18:00. Up to 85cc costs eight euros a day, 125cc and above twelve; members ride free all year. There is a separate children's area for 50cc machines, the noise limit is 94 dB, quads stay out, and camping is possible by arrangement. Twelve jumps in 1400 metres means a face roughly every hundred metres. Botch one landing and you are already approaching the next one badly - rhythm matters here far more than any single distance. Which is exactly where the classic jump-face problem comes from: the bike kicks instead of leaving the lip cleanly. Top of our cause list is shock rebound returning too fast - it launches the rear off the face; slow it down, fewer clicks out.
