MCC Tessin e.V. runs its facility at the Echoberg near Tessin. According to the club, riding has taken place on the site since 1964, racing has been organised there regularly since 1969, and the club itself was founded on 25 October 1975. The MX track is around 1,550 metres long on sandy mixed soil. There is also a youth track of about 600 metres with a starting gate for ten riders, and a children's track of roughly 200 metres. Solo bikes, quads and sidecars are all admitted. Anyone racing needs club membership, a valid licence and insurance according to the club. Spectator areas and catering are available on site, and state championship rounds run here regularly, among others in the 85cc and MX1 classes as well as beginner categories. Sandy mixed soil means the ground gives way, the rear wheel digs, and the track changes over the day - what was a flat corner on lap one is a worn rut by the afternoon. That costs energy and asks you to get on the throttle earlier and steer the bike from the rear. If the rear starts to pogo and swim in the deep stuff, top of our cause list is rebound set too fast for sand: slow it down so the rear stops bouncing itself up.
