The track is run by Motor- en Autoclub Lichtenvoorde (MACL), affiliated to MON and KNMV, with Circuit De Schans at Eikendijk 9 in Lievelde. MX Baan Info describes De Schans as a sand circuit of roughly 1,750 metres in length and 7 metres wide, with the training layout using the middle part of the Grand Prix course. The club publishes separate winter and summer hours. October to March: Thursday 13:30 to 16:00, closed in December and January, Saturday 14:00 to 16:45, Sunday 09:30 to 12:00 for OTR members only. April to September: Thursday 17:15 to 19:00, then until 19:45 for OTR members only, Saturday and Sunday as in winter. Fixed quarter-hour slots are reserved for beginners, on Saturday at 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 and on Thursday at 17:15 and 18:15. Non-members buy a day pass, a separate youth track belongs to the site, and the club's front page most recently reported preparations for the Zwarte Cross 2026. A narrow sand course seven metres wide forgives little: the lines dig in over the afternoon, and because you ride the middle section of a GP layout, speed comes with it. In deep sand, top of our cause list is a rear rebound that is too fast, letting the rear pogo instead of holding its line. Slow it a few clicks before you take your first quarter-hour slot.
