Track details
Dry sand gets deep and physical - the front wants to knife in; traction comes from throttle and the rear suspension.
Damp sand hooks up and gets faster - more grip, but heavier, blunt braking zones.

At Wilkowice near Leszno two tracks sit side by side, and choosing between them is the first decision of the day. The big one has nine jumps, the longest around sixteen metres, moderately sandy ground and a lap time of roughly one minute forty. The small one is meant for pit bikes and children, with firmer ground, table jumps and shaped berms. Entry is 60 złoty for full-size bikes and 40 złoty for small ones; the operation sits around the dealer Wojciechowski Motocykle. Zaborowo is less than nine kilometres away - two sand tracks in one day is realistic. One minute forty is a short lap. That means a lot of repetitions per hour, and therefore a lot of repetitions of the same mistake. Pick exactly one thing to work on per session, otherwise what you mostly train here is stamina. On sandy ground this comes first: the rear pogos and swims. Our cause list starts with rear rebound set too fast for sand - slow it down and the rear stops building itself up.
