Moto-Club Zamattio runs its ground on the Route de Thiescourt at the edge of Ribecourt-Dreslincourt in the Oise. The track measures 1640 metres at six metres wide, on a site of roughly 50,000 square metres. Directories describe the ground as sand with natural earth and a layout of jumps, corners and technical obstacles; alongside the main course there is a children's track, and both bikes and quads are allowed. It opens Wednesday 13:00 to 17:00 and Saturday and Sunday 11:00 to 17:00, with a day rate of 10 euros. Nothing happens here without a licence: FFM or UFOLEP is required, and that is something you settle before you set off, not at the gate. Six metres of width is the number worth remembering. On a narrow track the line is decided before the corner, because there simply is not the room to fix a missed turn-in point afterwards. The problem that catches nearly everyone here sooner or later: the front knifes and oversteers in the ruts. Top of our cause list is a fork that is too soft - it rides too low and knifes into the rut. Add compression.
