Sardinia Circuit Tramatza

The Sardinia Circuit sits near Tramatza in the province of Oristano, on the SS131 trunk road at kilometre 103. The lap measures 1600 metres in total and is made up of 1200 metres of asphalt plus a 400 metre off-road section, with a 120 metre joker lane on top. Karts, supermoto, road bikes and pit bikes all use the venue, and there is a bar on site. The circuit has hosted the GP della Sardegna as a round of the S1GP supermoto world championship, organised by ASD Moto Club Pro Sport. A quarter of the lap off road means you switch physics completely twice every lap. The transition from tarmac into the dirt section is where seconds go missing - not through a lack of speed, but because the bike is unsettled in the change and you only rebuild confidence afterwards. On the jump face in the dirt part the usual thing happens: the bike kicks instead of leaving cleanly. Top of our cause list is rear rebound returning too fast and launching the back end over the face - slow it down, in small steps.
