Nürburgring GP-Strecke

The Grand Prix circuit is the modern course at the Nurburgring, operated by Nurburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. The complex was opened on 18 June 1927; according to Wikipedia the current version of the Grand Prix circuit dates from 2002 and measures 5.148 kilometres with 16 corners and 55 metres of elevation change. Formula 1 rounds were held here from 1984 to 2020. Private riders can reach the course two ways. The operator runs tourist drives on both the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit, by car or by motorcycle, and states explicitly that no appointment or registration is needed: you top up your credit online or on site and turn up during the circuits' opening hours. On top of that, trackdays and riding courses run on the Grand Prix circuit, and the operator advertises them for two-wheelers as well. Our record lists the character as technical and fast at once, and the suspension has to bridge exactly that gap: 16 corners in a little over five kilometres leave little rest between direction changes, and you carry a lot of load through the quick sweepers. If the bike goes vague there and will not hold the line you picked, top of our cause list is a ride-height and sag balance that is off; the bike then feels vague at speed. Set the sag properly first, before you start turning individual damping clicks.
