MSC Fresach in Carinthia sits at around 1000 metres above sea level, and that is the first thing to plan for: at this altitude a combustion engine makes noticeably less power than down on the flat, so jetting or mapping can afford to run a touch leaner. The track measures 1400 metres at a minimum width of six metres and has been extended continuously since 2014. There are four tables, one step-up, three step-downs and four further jumps - a clearly structured set of built obstacles rather than a grown natural course. The most important piece of equipment is unspectacular and still decides your day: the site has an irrigation system, so dust stays manageable.
