Motocross Strecke Haberberg

At the Haberberg above Griffen in Carinthia, MSC Griffen built something that took them ten years: a pure natural track on the village's own hill, with no imported, bulldozed features. The club was founded in 2000 by a handful of motocross enthusiasts and has the rare luxury of the track being right on its doorstep. What made the Haberberg known are its race dates: the Carinthian Cup, the Auner Cup and rounds of the MX2 championship have been run here, along with Austrian cross-country championship events. On cup weekends spectators pay five euros; the team race was most recently free. Older riders like the Haberberg precisely because of where it comes from. A grown natural track forgives less than a graded one, but it teaches line choice instead of memorisation. Come with that in mind - on this kind of ground the fast lap comes from reading the terrain, not from repeating it. We list the ground as mixed; track length and character are not documented. For practice options there is no way round the club.
