MotorLand Aragón

MotorLand Aragon is operated by Ciudad del Motor de Aragon and lies near Alcaniz in south-eastern Aragon. The Grand Prix circuit opened on 6 September 2009, was designed by Hermann Tilke together with Foster and Partners and measures 5.345 kilometres with 18 corners; two of them carry rider names, turn 3 for Carlos Checa and turn 10 for Marc Marquez. The venue hosts the Aragon Grand Prix of MotoGP along with Moto2 and Moto3, plus rounds of the Superbike World Championship and the Spanish Superbike Championship. Besides the GP layout there is a national configuration of 2.646 kilometres with 13 corners, as well as a karting track, an off-road course and a technology park. For private riders the operator advertises track day sessions in several formats; prices are not stated on the overview page. A lap of a good five kilometres with 18 corners means long stretches with no recovery: you hang on the bars continuously, brake hard from high speed and keep re-aiming the bike. That is exactly what produces the classic arm pump after a few laps, and its main cause in our list is not the suspension but gripping the bars too hard - ride with loose arms from a central position and keep your hands light while the weight sits on the pegs.
