Motorcenter Norway sits at Kroheia in Sokndal, Rogaland, and is run by Motorcenter Norway AS; the operator states the site is owned by KNA Raceway AS. English Wikipedia dates the opening to July 2021, after 18 years of development and costs of 130 million Norwegian kroner, with the official ceremony held on 29 September 2021. For motocross the indoor hall is the core: the operator describes it as the country's only motocross hall, 78 metres long and 60 metres wide, with a season running from 1 October to 30 March. Access works through an annual pass that lets you ride as often as you want across the whole season, or alternatively through a punch card or a single drop-in; open practice sessions are announced continuously on the operator's Facebook page, and clubs rent fixed slots over the winter. The hall has a cafeteria, changing rooms and toilets attached. Outside there is an off-road area of 381 dekar, open year-round and released for cars, motorcycles and ATVs; guided packages with an instructor cost 1,199 and 1,699 kroner including VAT there and are booked in advance. The same site also holds the tarmac race circuit of 2.324 kilometres with 14 turns, which Wikipedia lists as meeting FIA Grade 3 and FIM Grade B. On an indoor footprint of this size the corners come one after another, so you are turning almost constantly and rarely straight for more than a few seconds, and the bike has to commit to a line instead of running wide at corner entry. If that is exactly what happens and you cannot hold the tight line, top of our cause list is rear ride height: too little of it makes the steering lazy, so raise the rear a little or drop the front to get sharper bite from the wheel up front.
