The Circuit Michael Polsimelli sits at the Cruvieres site near Bouvesse-Quirieu in the Isere, close to the D1075, and is run by Moto-Club AMV Bouvesse. According to the track directory mxcircuit.fr the course is 1750 metres long and 6 metres wide, a natural layout that is 65 percent dirt and 35 percent stone. Access is split by age: riders of 12 and over on the first and third weekend, younger ones on the second and fourth - 14:00 to 19:00 in summer, 13:30 to 18:30 in winter. It closes in July and August. A day costs 10 euros and needs an FFM or UFOLEP licence. Quads are allowed, and the directory explicitly notes noise checks with a sound meter. A third of the surface being stone means the ground barely gives, it sets up hard quickly, and the braking zones develop small sharp chop instead of soft waves. That arrives unfiltered in your hands and forearms, and on a technical course with fast sections that is exactly where control slips. Top of our cause list for a fork that goes harsh on braking bumps is low-speed compression set too firm - open it a few clicks so the fork can actually absorb the small chop.
