Frauenfeld-Gachnang is the Swiss round of the motocross world championship: the MXGP of Switzerland runs here, most recently on the last March weekend of 2026, won by Tom Vialle and Simon Laengenfelder in the MXGP and MX2 classes. Riding a world championship track is a different proposition from a club lap - the Schollenholz circuit measures 1500 metres on hard ground and is fast, technical and fitted with built jumps. Hardpack at world championship pace is the least forgiving combination in motocross: the line stays narrow, grip hangs on tyre pressure, and the track does not forgive braking mistakes. Expect restricted practice outside race weekends.
