The Circuit du Bois de la Vieille sits near Beauvoisin in the Gard and is run by Moto-Club des Costieres. The track directory mxcircuit.fr lists it at 2210 metres as a natural layout of sand, clay and small rounded pebbles. It opens on the second and fourth weekend of each month; it closes for a month before a race and during the hunting season. A day costs 15 euros and an FFM licence is required, with contact going through the club's phone and email. The directory records nothing about facilities, rentals or fixed training groups, and no operator site with an opening calendar is publicly findable. Sand mixed with clay and rounded pebbles forgives nothing lazy: the lines move across the day, the rear works constantly, and on a course we have on file as fast and jump-heavy the approach decides the landing. Top of our cause list here is rebound set too fast for sand - the rear returns too quickly, builds up and starts to pogo. Slow it down, that is fewer clicks out, before you go near the compression.
