Le Fornaci is a special case: the 1500-metre track in Contrada San Lorio sits on the club president's own land, in the middle of Lanciano - a peculiarity, says Moto Club Lanciano, that hardly any other venue can claim. FMI and UISP homologated, category 3, dirt surface, with a minicross area. Open Thursday and Saturday from 15:00 to 19:00. Hot and cold showers, a bar and power are there; floodlights are not. The yearly highlight is the Italian vintage motocross championship round, ridden on classic machinery. Four hours on two days is not much, and it forces a decision before you leave home: arrive with a finished base setup and exactly one open question. You will not get a clean answer to more than one in that window. On dirt the rule holds here as everywhere: the front knifes in the ruts.
