At La Tour-Blanche-Cercles in the Dordogne it is all about old machines: the local club Par Chemins runs the opening round of the French vintage enduro championship there, and on 19 April 280 riders lined up, ten of them women. The reporting is unusually honest on one point - most of them come out of a passion for the machinery rather than pure competitive spirit. That changes your preparation more than you would think.
