Dijon-Prenois

Dijon-Prenois lies in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region and opened on 26 May 1972. According to Wikipedia the Grand Prix layout measures 3.801 kilometres and runs over twelve turns; the same source describes it as an undulating track noted for its fast, sweeping bends. The circuit staged the Formula One French Grand Prix five times, in 1974, 1977, 1979, 1981 and 1984, and hosted the Swiss Grand Prix in 1982 because circuit racing had been banned in Switzerland after the 1955 Le Mans disaster; Keke Rosberg took his maiden Grand Prix win there, and Niki Lauda won the last Formula One race at the venue in 1984. World Sportscar Championship rounds ran there from 1973 to 1990, and the FIA GT Championship visited in 1998 and 2006. The operator states that the venue runs from March to November, that it also operates a karting track alongside the main circuit, and that it offers track days for cars, motorcycles and karts as well as driving courses. An undulating course with fast bends puts the load on the bike's balance.
