Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve near Portimao is run by Parkalgar, Parques Tecnologicos e Desportivos, S.A. and sits at Sitio do Escampadinho in Mexilhoeira Grande. It opened in October 2008, cost around 195 million euro and was homologated by the FIM and the FIA in that same month. The Grand Prix layout measures 4.653 kilometres across 15 corners, with a capacity of 100,000. Alongside the road course the operator lists a kartodromo, an off-road track, a racing school and driving programmes such as the Moto Course, plus track days. The race calendar carries the MotoGP round, World Superbike, the European Le Mans Series and, from 2027, a Formula 1 Grand Prix again.
